“Process of evaluation of OMR answer sheets “ OMR (Optical Marking an electronic method of gathering human-handled data by identifying certain markings on a document. OMR software is a computer software application that makes OMR possible on a desktop computer by using an Image scanner to process surveys, tests, attendance sheets, checklists, and other plain-paper forms printed on a laser printer. OMR scanner is used for collecting information on a form where people can mark stylized “bubbles” to indicate their answers to questions rather than having to write them out. Forms are scanned through an OMR Scanner.

OMR Scanner Process

• Stores images of scanned sheets in a folder using a scanner

• Name of folder specified in GUIe

• Marked bubbles by students checked and stored in excel

• Scanning process never effects the evaluation of marked region
